Operator

We are looking for a full-time operator to work in our production area.

JOB PURPOSE

The Operator is responsible for efficiently carrying out tasks or duties within the allocated production section by following the quality and safety standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operating basic equipment while strictly following the standard operating procedures.
2. Adhere to strict hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and sanitized production environment and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
3. Perform timely quality checks and report out-of-spec conditions to the direct superior.
4. Handle raw materials and finished products as required while operating material handling equipment.
5. Collect data related to the process.
6. Raise maintenance requests.
7. Adhere to the 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
8. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to create a safe work environment. Report any equipment or work practices that could danger one’s health or safety.
9. Actively participating in training sessions (receiving and delivering).
10. Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels with cross-functional teams & departments to ensure seamless coordination and information sharing.
11. Perform other relevant tasks assigned by superiors as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

1. A minimum of MQF Level 3 Qualification and/or previous experience in a similar role is desirable and would be considered an asset.
2. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or a food preparation establishment will be considered an asset.
3. Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
5. Good spoken English.
6. Commitment to health and safety standards.
