JOB PURPOSE

The Product Leader plays a pivotal role in strategic production planning, raw materials management, and employee coordination, fostering an efficient production environment and ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.

  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with the business objective, considering market demands, resource availability, and production capacities.
  2. Strategically manage raw materials inventory & deliveries.
  3. Lead, mentor & motivate the team by fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance feedback.
  4. Continuously assess & improve production processes, implementing best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure adherence to health & safety and quality standards.
  5. Generate regular reports on production metrics, analysing performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
  6. Enforce adherence to the 5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
  7. Support R&D projects related to processes and products.
  8. Investigate and analyze consumer complaints thoroughly, identifying root causes and trends to prevent reoccurrences.
  9. Deliver training programs for internal teams and assess training effectiveness through evaluations and feedback mechanisms. Monitor and evaluate performance, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  10. Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels with cross-functional teams & departments to ensure seamless coordination and information sharing.
  11. Perform other relevant tasks assigned by superiors as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  1. A minimum of MQF Level 5 Qualification in science-related subjects and previous experience in a similar role leading a team would be considered an asset.
  2. Proficient in computer use, especially Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems.
  3. Good spoken and written English.
  4. Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  5. Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  6. Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  10. Commitment to health and safety standards.
  11. Knowledge of 5S principles will be considered an asset.
